Privacy Policy

This page is a starting point written in plain language. It is not legal advice.
What Hatchly never does
Hatchly does not hold or move money. It has no access to any bank account, card, or payment network, and it cannot start, approve, or reverse a transaction. Nothing you do here moves a dollar. Hatchly is a record of what you say you earned.
What you give us
Two kinds of information:
- Account details. Your email address and the name you choose to display, collected when you sign up.
- Records you enter yourself. Payers, income entries, amounts, dates, payment types, check numbers, notes, work types, and tax reserve records.
We do not buy data about you, and we do not connect to your bank to pull transactions. Everything in your account is there because you typed it or pasted it.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database. It is encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest. Every table is isolated per user with row level security, so a query signed in as you can only return your rows. No other Hatchly user can read your records.
Third parties we use
Supabase
Supabase provides the database and the authentication for Hatchly. Your account details and every record you enter are stored there.
Anthropic
Quick Capture lets you type a payment the way you would say it. When you submit text in Quick Capture, that text is sent to Anthropic's API so it can be parsed into an amount, a date, and a payer. Anthropic does not use that text to train models. If you would rather not send text to a third party, use the standard entry form instead, which stays entirely within Hatchly.
FormSubmit
The contact form and the affiliate application form are delivered by FormSubmit, a form delivery service, which emails what you type into them to us: your name, your email, and whatever else you write in the form. Nothing from your Hatchly account is included. If you would rather not use it, email us directly instead.
Signing in with Google
If you choose Google sign-in, Google tells us your email address, your basic profile name, your profile picture URL, and a stable account identifier. That is all we receive. We never see your Google password, and we get no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.
Your data is yours
- Export. Settings has a one click CSV export of every income entry, any time, with no request needed.
- Delete. Settings also lets you delete your account. That removes every entry, payer, alias, work type, and tax reserve record permanently. It cannot be undone and we cannot recover it for you afterward.
Cookies and analytics
Hatchly runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third party trackers. We do not profile you and we do not sell anything about you.
The only browser storage we use is what keeps you signed in. Your authentication session is stored in your browser so you do not have to log in on every visit. Clearing it signs you out.
How long we keep things
We keep your records for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and they go with it. Routine backups age out on their own within a short window.
Children
Hatchly is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
